THE COWBOY RIDES AGAIN; CALIFORNIA-BOUND IN OCTOBER! THE COWBOY LOSES HIS BOOTS TO SCREEN AT THE MILL VALLEY FILM FESTIVAL!

Farm Fresh Films takes once again great joy in announcing that the short fiction feature film THE COWBOY LOSES HIS BOOTS has just been invited to participate in this year's MILL VALLEY FILM FESTIVAL. The film about a Cowboy DJ from Copenhagen is set for its next screening in early October, 2003.

The film has recently enjoyed its international premiere at the world famous Seattle International Film Festival, and just as it was in Seattle, The Cowboy Loses His Boots is the only film from Denmark to participate in 26th annual Mill Valley Film Festival.

Supported by the likes of Francis Ford Coppola and George Lucas, the Mill Valley Film Festival is California's longest-running fall festival, and is known internationally as a high profile, prestigious event celebrating the best of independent international cinema. A filmmakers' festival, the eleven-day event is now in its 26th year. Recent screenings include: Bowling for Columbine, Frida, Spellbound, Y Tu Mama Tambien (all Academy Award nominees 2003); Lars Von Trier's internationally acclaimed Dancer in the Dark, and David Mamet's State and Main.

Set in California's bucolic Marin County (in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area), the Mill Valley Film Festival revels in the cutting-edge in one of the most important markets for independent and world cinema in the United States.

Like its original inspiration, Telluride, Mill Valley has the rare ability to host an international film festival while maintaining the home-spun atmosphere of a cozy mountain town. The festival attracts industry luminaries, yet the glow and potential pomp of celebrity attendance is kept in check by the undeniable charm and beauty of the town itself.

THE COWBOY LOSES HIS BOOTS is a novellefilm made in Denmark. A riddle in the form of a short fiction feature, THE COWBOY LOSES HIS BOOTS dares ask the question: "what if Copenhagen went country & western for one night only?" The story illustrates how the theft of a pair of boots belonging to a stoic cowboy DJ, is the catalyst for an all night odyssey, where Copenhagen's offbeat nightlife is presented as it has rarely been seen before. Trapped in a web of mayhem and country music - the cowboy DJ discovers that the struggle to locate his beloved boots may ultimately come at a higher price. The film's dialogue is in Danish, Swedish and English, and the film has yet to have its Copenhagen premiere.

So, please look for THE COWBOY LOSES HIS BOOTS at The 26th Annual Mill Valley Film Festival from October 2 - 12. 2003!

Farm Fresh Films wishes to thank all of those, near and far, who have supported THE COWBOY LOSES HIS BOOTS, with special regards to the cast and crew and the festival programmers who have selected this film.

THE COWBOY LOSES ITS BOOTS ENJOYS GLOBAL PREMIERE AT SEATTLE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

To several rounds of applause, the Danish short fiction feature film, The Cowboy Loses His Boots (Cowboyen Der Mister Sine Støvler) began its international festival run last night at the Seattle International Film Festival.

Screened before a packed audience of film-lovers, the film was warmly greeted with laughter and applause. Over 300 tickets were sold to the event, which took place at the BROADWAY PERFORMANCE HALL.

Last night's event marks the first public screening, anywhere, of The Cowboy Loses His Boots, which was directed by Christian Svanes Kolding. A riddle in the form of a short fiction feature, the film poses the question: "what if Copenhagen went country & western for one night only?" The story illustrates how the theft of a pair of boots belonging to a stoic cowboy DJ, is the catalyst for an all night odyssey, where Copenhagen's offbeat nightlife is presented as it has rarely been seen before.

Along with Sundance, Toronto, New Directors/New Films in New York, and Telluride, the Seattle International Film Festival has been cited by such publications as the New York Times, Atlantic Monthly and Variety as one of the top five festivals in North America, in which inclusion to the festival qualifies a film without distribution for submission to the prestigious Independent Spirit Awards.

Farm Fresh Films thanks the programmers at the Seattle International Film Festival for selecting the film for this year's event, and thanks the festival's technicians for the film's smooth international debut. Additionally, a thanks goes out to Farm Fresh Films' special correspondent to the Seattle International Film Festival, Jennifer Lawrence Bennett.

THE COWBOY LOSES HIS BOOTS is produced, and independently financed, by Farm Fresh Films, a small production company based in Copenhagen.
